If you’re looking for an easy way to add more protein to your meals, this high protein cottage cheese flatbread is one of the simplest recipes you can make.

It only takes a few ingredients, comes together in minutes, and creates a soft, flexible flatbread that works perfectly for wraps, sandwiches, or even pizza bases.

The best part? Cottage cheese naturally adds protein while keeping the bread soft and light without needing oil or butter.

This recipe has become incredibly popular because it’s quick, versatile, and perfect for meal prep.

Ingredients (2–3 flatbreads)

1 cup cottage cheese
¾ cup all-purpose flour
½ tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt

Optional additions:

garlic powder
dried herbs
black pepper

How to Make Cottage Cheese Flatbread

Start by adding the cottage cheese to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth and creamy. This step helps create a softer dough.

In a bowl combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Add the blended cottage cheese and mix everything together until a soft dough forms.

If the dough feels slightly sticky, add 1–2 tablespoons of flour until it becomes easier to handle.

Divide the dough into 2–3 portions and roll each portion into a thin round flatbread on a lightly floured surface.

Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and cook each flatbread for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden spots appear and the bread is cooked through.

Let them cool slightly before using.

Why This Recipe Works

Cottage cheese is naturally rich in protein and moisture. When blended and combined with flour it creates a dough that stays soft and flexible after cooking.

This means you get a bread-like texture with much more protein than traditional flatbread.

It’s a simple swap that makes everyday meals more balanced.
